FAQs
What is vehicle wrapping?
Vehicle wrapping is the process of applying premium vinyl films to cars, vans, or fleets to change their appearance, showcase branding, or add protective layers. A wrap can cover the full vehicle or selected panels for a bold, professional finish.
How long does a vehicle wrap last?
A professionally installed vehicle wrap typically lasts 5–7 years, depending on usage, maintenance and exposure to the elements. We only use premium materials from Avery Dennison, 3M and Arlon, ensuring maximum durability and colour vibrancy.
Can vehicle wraps damage paintwork?
No. In fact, vinyl wraps protect your vehicle’s paintwork from UV rays, stone chips, and light abrasions. When removed correctly, a wrap leaves the original paintwork intact and in excellent condition.
Do you wrap both cars and vans?
Yes. We wrap everything from private cars to full commercial fleets. Whether it’s a one-off project or hundreds of vehicles nationwide, our team ensures a consistent, high-quality finish every time.
What’s the difference between a full wrap, a partial wrap and spot branding?
A full wrap covers the entire vehicle for maximum impact. A partial wrap covers specific panels—such as doors or bonnets—while blending seamlessly with the original paintwork. Spot branding adds logos, contact details or key visuals to selected areas for a cost-effective and professional look.
What is Chapter 8 vehicle livery?
Chapter 8 livery is the high-visibility chevron and reflective striping required for road and site safety in the UK. Fleet Wraps supplies and fits fully compliant, prismatic Chapter 8 kits, tailored to each vehicle and installed nationwide.
Are your Chapter 8 kits fully compliant?
Yes. All our Chapter 8 kits are fully flooded with prismatic reflectives, ensuring compliance with UK regulations. Each kit is custom templated for your exact make and model, guaranteeing accuracy and visibility.
How much does a vehicle wrap cost?
The cost of a vehicle wrap depends on the type of wrap (full, partial or spot branding), the size of the vehicle, and the complexity of the design. We provide tailored quotes to match your project and budget, always using premium materials for long-lasting value.
How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?
On average, a full vehicle wrap takes 2–3 days, including preparation and finishing. Spot branding or partial wraps can be completed more quickly. We balance speed with precision to deliver a flawless finish.
Do you design the artwork for wraps?
Yes. Our in-house design team can create custom artwork from scratch or adapt your existing brand guidelines. We provide proofs and 3D visuals before production, so you know exactly how your vehicle will look.
What printers and materials do you use?
We use Epson S80600 printers for Pantone-accurate, vibrant prints. All vinyl comes from trusted brands such as Avery Dennison, 3M and Arlon, paired with professional overlaminates for extra protection.
Do you offer nationwide installation?
Yes. Our accredited installers operate nationwide across the UK. Whether you’re based in Leeds, London or anywhere in between, we provide a consistent service with the same high standards.
Who installs the wraps?
Every Fleet Wraps installer is Avery Dennison Specialist Installer Level 2 accredited. This certification proves our team’s expertise, ensuring every wrap is fitted with precision and built to last.
Can a wrap be removed?
Yes. Vinyl wraps can be safely removed without damaging the paintwork underneath. This makes them ideal for leased vehicles, brand updates, or temporary campaigns.
Can I wrap a leased vehicle?
Yes. Vehicle wrapping is an ideal solution for leased cars and vans because the wrap protects the paintwork and can be fully removed at the end of the lease without leaving damage.
Do you only wrap new vehicles?
No. We can wrap both new and used vehicles, provided the paintwork is in good condition. Our team will assess the surface before application to guarantee a flawless finish.
What happens if my wrap gets damaged?
Small sections of a wrap can be repaired or replaced without re-wrapping the whole vehicle. We keep your artwork and templates on file, making it easy to produce matching replacements.
Do wraps affect insurance?
Vehicle wraps usually don’t affect your insurance premiums, but you should always inform your insurer of any graphics applied to your car or van.
Can I put my vehicle through a car wash with a wrap?
Hand washing is always recommended, but most vinyl wraps can withstand gentle automated washes. Avoid harsh brushes and high-pressure jets to maximise lifespan.
What’s the difference between vinyl wrap and paint?
Paint is permanent, while vinyl wraps offer flexibility, quicker turnaround, and reversibility. Wraps also give more creative freedom, with finishes like matte, gloss, metallic, or custom prints.
Do you provide warranty on your wraps?
Yes. We offer warranty on all wraps installed by our accredited team, backed by leading vinyl manufacturers. Your branding is protected by both product and installation guarantees.
